Secondary’s Big Trip

On Friday (May 15), our secondary class went on their big year-end trip.  It started with a bus ride to the Giant Center in Hershey, where everyone got a full tour of the arena.  From big elephant doors and zambonis, to skyboxes and security rooms, students were able to see the inner-workings of the building.

The plan was to then take a tour or Hershey’s Chocolate World, but time was short.  So instead, everyone hopped back on the bus and enjoyed a free lunch from Sheetz (thanks Sheetz!) while traveling to Lake Tobias.

Once the students arrived, they boarded another kind of bus.  This one was a convertible setup to endure a safari!  While traveling through the grassy hills, animals came right up to the bus so everyone can hand-feed them.  Later on, Secondary got the chance to see lions, tigers, and bears (OH MY!), followed by a petting zoo and a reptile exhibit.  They all summoned the courage to pet a baby alligator too.

Overall, it was an exciting tour that has everyone counting the days until next year’s big trip.
