Earlier this week, our students traveled to Boscov’s to partake in an annual holiday tradition. Out of pure kindness, Boscov’s invites our students and adults to go Christmas shopping. This year, JPII was greeted with donuts and juice as they were split up into groups.

An employee of Boscov’s is then assigned to each group to show them around the store and help each individual pick out the perfect Christmas gifts. Not only is this fun for our students, but it’s also an exciting learning experience.

Each student has a list of gifts and budget to stick to. Thus, the day requires money management, social interactions, and planning as a part of this unique learning experience.

After all of the gifts are picked out and paid for, they are taken to the wrapping center where students get to add the final touches.
