At the John Paul II Center for Special Learning, speech therapy is an integral part of our commitment to helping students achieve their fullest potential. Our skilled speech therapists provide individualized and group sessions tailored to each student’s unique communication needs. Therapy focuses on enhancing a wide range of skills, including language development, articulation, social communication, and alternative communication methods, such as AAC devices. By fostering effective communication, we empower students to express themselves confidently and build meaningful connections in their daily lives.
Every child receives some financial aid. Your tuition amount is based on what you’re able to pay. No family has ever been denied acceptance due to financial reasons.
Call the school to set up a tour of the program. Records are reviewed of the child to make sure we can meet the needs of the child. The child also needs the opportunity to meet the teacher. Once it’s determined we can meet their needs it’s a matter of filling out a registration form and applying for financial aid.
We are a small school that focuses on each individual child. We have a 5:1 student to staff ratio with small class sizes. Our program is individualized for each student based on their IEP. We oBer programs that you may not find in other schools such as Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and our Work for Independence Program.
Our school age program operates the typical school year from August to June. We offer an ESY program based upon IEPs and need. We have the usual holidays oB throughout the year. Our adult program operates year round with holidays off.
Registration is open year-round. As long as we have space in the classroom you can register your child and start any time throughout the year.
Even though John Paul II is incorporated, we are still under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Allentown. The Bishop has final approval on all governing matters concerning the school. The diocese also provides financial services and human resource services. Financial support is received through the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
