Our Mission

In a safe and nurturing Christian environment, John Paul II Center serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing diversified programs. We acknowledge the dignity of all learners while challenging them on a daily basis to reach their God-given potential. Our mission is an expression of the Catholic Church’s teaching on the sanctity of human life.

Faith & Ministry

At John Paul II Center for Special Learning, faith and ministry are at the heart of our school community. We provide daily religion lessons that nurture the spiritual growth of our students, offering them a deeper understanding of their faith. Our students also participate in monthly Mass and weekly liturgical music sessions, where they come together to worship and strengthen their connection to God.

For our Catholic students, we offer the opportunity to engage in adapted sacramental preparation, ensuring that each child has the support they need to fully participate in the sacraments. Our Director of Religious Education (DRE) works closely with local parishes to make sacraments accessible to all of our students, embracing their unique needs and helping them to experience the sacraments in a meaningful way.

Through these programs, we cultivate a vibrant and inclusive faith community where every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with God.
