Greetings from our principal, Kaylee Simcik

Dear John Paul II Center Community,

As the newly appointed principal of John Paul II Center for Special Learning, I am excited for the journey ahead. I am committed to upholding our mission of challenging our students every day while guiding them to reach their God-given potential.

I extend my deepest gratitude to the students and their families whom I have had the privilege to teach at JPII. You have enriched my life countless times, teaching me patience, kindness, and unconditional love.

I am grateful to John Funk and Shelly Kreska for working together in this role since the beginning of the school year. They accepted the additional responsibilities as co-principals while still teaching in the classroom. Their commitment to our students is inspiring, and I look forward to continuing their hard work.

Thank you to JPII’s Board of Directors for their trust and confidence in me to lead this center. I am deeply honored by the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

As a woman of Catholic faith and identity, I am humbled to assume this role within a community that shares my spiritual values and beliefs. My faith has been a guiding light in my life, and I am excited to foster a nurturing environment where our students can grow personally, academically, and spiritually.

Family holds a special place in my heart, and I am blessed to be supported by my loving husband, Charlie, and our cherished dog, Jax. Their unwavering love and encouragement inspire me to pursue excellence in everything I do.

Above all, I am driven by a deep passion for serving the individuals, families, and staff of the John Paul II Center. I am committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and excellence where every community member feels valued and empowered to thrive.

To those families whom I have yet to meet, I look forward to getting to know each of you and learning how we can work together to ensure the success and well-being of our students.
Thank you for the opportunity to lead this remarkable center.

With warmest regards,
Mrs. Kaylee Simcik
