We Need Your Help

At JPII, we like to put Purpose into our Projects, with each assignment built on an underlying idea.
As part of Catholic Schools Week, we discovered a deep need for Emergency Kits. Amy Mayer Ames from Catholic Charities explained that there are homeless and homeless Veterans within our own community that are in need of simple everyday items. So our goal for the week (February 1 through February 5) is to give back by donating 30+ Emergency Kits for our local Veterans in need (both women and men). Items needed are as follows:
Washrags and hand towels
Bar soap
Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
Floss
Deodorant
Gloves
Socks (Men and Women)
Chapstick
Underwear (Men and Women)
Menstrual pads
Shampoo
Granola Bars
Hair ties
Hairbrushes
Wipes/tissues
Lotion
Hand Sanitizer
Men’s razors and shaving cream (major need!)
If you don’t have time to shop, monetary donations will be used to purchase items on the list.
Please be sure all items are new and unopened. Each kit will also include an inspirational hand-crafted notecard with a positive message from a student or adult from our programs at JPII.
Projects with Purpose is the umbrella for not only Pendants with Purpose, but all acts of mercy performed by John Paul II Center students and adults. Together, we can make someone’s day a little bit better.
Thank you for your support and effort.
