Judy’s family started her on an early path of volunteerism. Upon graduating from Millersville College, her work career started with working with clients at Wernersville State Hospital and continued at Threshold Rehabilitation and Goodwill Industries. She was the Executive Director at Life Line and ended her working career in continuing education at Albright College and Berks Career & Technology.  She was involved with many organizations during her lifetime of giving, including the Altrusa Club of Reading. Recently, she volunteered at St Francis Home, but her passion for giving was the John Paul II Center.

Her love for JPII began when her daughter Julie enrolled in the school-age program 35 years ago at the age of five and continued as Julie transitioned to the adult program. While Julie was enrolled in the school-age program, Judy was active with JPII’s Booster Club.  She was also a long-time member of the Legacy Gala committee. Sadly, Judy passed away on December 5, 2023, before we could present her with our Peggy’s Legacy of Faith award to thank her for her years of dedication.  We are forever grateful to Judy for sharing our mission with everyone she met and for helping us make new friends. She, her husband Jim, and her daughter Julie remain in our prayers.
